Reference Scope / Capacity Target

1,000 kg/h Biscuit Factory

A hard-biscuit factory configuration for planning around a 1,000 kg/h target. Final output and equipment scope depend on the confirmed product, recipe and factory conditions.

Reference at a Glance

One Scope from Preparation to Handover.

Review the production equipment and surrounding factory requirements as one scope. Establish the boundary between line supply, site works and packing equipment, then use the agreed brief to define configuration, responsibilities and product trials.

Production Route

Six Stages in a Connected Production Route.

Sheet development, baking and post-oven handling must be coordinated at each transfer point.

  1. Dough Preparation

Organize ingredient handling, mixing and batch discharge for consistent supply.

  2. Sheet Development

Progressively sheet and reduce dough to the required forming condition.

  3. Lamination

Coordinate layering and relaxation before final gauge reduction and cutting.

  4. Rotary Cutting

Match product geometry, docking and scrap return to continuous belt transfer.

  5. Tunnel Baking

Review baking zones and belt speed against the intended biscuit.

  6. Cooling & Handover

Cool and transfer biscuits in the arrangement required by packing.

Engineering Focus

Engineering Priorities for the Factory.

Coordinate Forming and Oven Duty.

Review the forming rate, oven duty and downstream flow together. Biscuit weight, recipe and baking time affect each section, so configuration decisions need to account for their combined effect on the route.

  • Forming rate aligned with baking time
  • Cooling and transfer coordinated with oven output

Plan the Space Around the Line.

Review working access, utilities, extraction and product movement alongside equipment placement. The factory brief also needs to define site readiness and the installation sequence so responsibilities are clear before manufacturing and commissioning.

  • Operating access and utility connections
  • Site preparation and installation responsibilities

Implementation & Inquiry

Agree the Plan and Acceptance Criteria.

Connect the production brief to manufacture, site preparation and line trials through agreed responsibilities.

  1. Define

Confirm the product, output target, site conditions and required factory scope.

  2. Engineer

Develop the process route, equipment arrangement, layout and utility connection requirements.

  3. Build & Verify

Manufacture, assemble and inspect the line against the confirmed project requirements.

  4. Install & Commission

Coordinate installation, product trials, operator guidance and the agreed technical handover.
